5 fun casino-themed party games

Feeling party-hungry? Time to invite your friends to a party they'll never forget. With a theme, you can easily tie together games, food and the party feeling itself. We've got 5 fun casino-themed party games for you to check out below.

To help us, we've asked Amy Martinsson, read more about her here, to share her absolute top tips for a successful casino-themed party. Here are some of her suggestions:

Roulette with fun prizes

Using a cardboard box, you can easily make a DIY roulette board. Feel free to use the internet to help with the order of the numbers and the different betting options. Markers can either be bought ready-made in packets, or you can cut them out from different coloured paper.

The wheel and ball themselves can be a little more difficult to get right, but you can improvise a little here. Make slips of paper with the different numbers - with each colour of course, and put them in a bowl. When everyone has placed a bet, draw a note and see what the result is https://svenskanyacasino.com/. Don't forget to shake well between each draw!

Tips on what you can win: priority in the food queue (read here for tips on what you can offer), chocolate money or why not chewing gum!
Build a house of cards
Let party participants compete against each other in building castles out of cards, or regular houses of cards. You can decide in advance whether the highest house of cards will win or the most innovative. Divide your friends into teams and then let them compete together. If you want to increase the level of difficulty, you can have a rule that you can only use one hand.

Tips for making the game more fun: give teams each a small fan to use against their opponents.

Build your own slot machine

Creating slot machines, like the ones you'll find at a Swedish online casino, isn't easy. If you want to use slots at your party, you really have to be creative! Here are some tips on how you can go about building your own slot.

Start by creating three round drums out of paper. On them you can paste symbols, or you can draw them directly on the drums. Then mount these drums inside an empty cardboard box and cut out 3 holes to make the symbols on the drums visible. Thread a stick through the drum and the cardboard box so it can spin. Be careful when cutting so you don't hurt yourself! Learn how to stop bleeding on 1177.

Once your party participants have placed their bets, spin the reels and let chance decide!

Hints on what you can win: chocolate money, fruit or gum.

Who am I?

This is a popular party game that can be adapted according to the theme of the party. If it's a jungle-themed party, use words related to the jungle, and if it's a casino-themed party, use things related to casinos. One person gets a note taped to their forehead. On the note is a word such as "bonus, slot machine, blackjack, bingo". Everyone except the person with the note sees what it says. Now the person with the note has to ask the others questions. You can only answer yes or no. After 10 questions, a clue can be given and the game continues until the person guesses correctly what the note says.

Wheel of Fortune

We often see them at amusement parks such as Gröna Lund and Liseberg, but they are also a fairly common sight at casinos. A wheel of fortune is very easy to create, all you need is cardboard, a pen and a nail. And some paint or pencils of course.

Make a large round out of cardboard. Divide it into cake pieces which you then number. Use a nail to put the round up and mount an arrow at the top. The party participants can then "bet" on a number of their choice and then you spin the wheel. When it stops, you can see which number won.

Winning tip: The only limit here is your own imagination. Cute teddy bears, or fun balloons can be great prizes. Or the prize is to sing a song!

There are many fun party games

We could probably write a book of different games you could use to make your party a little more fun. But we'll settle for the five we've presented above. Feel free to comment if you have any tips for casino-themed party games too!
